Announcing the CSPA Unmasked Contest

CSPA UNMASKED DESIGN PROGRAM

CSPA Unmasked is an initiative to celebrate creativity and to raise awareness of the Canadian Skin Patient Alliance (CSPA) – a resource and community developed by patients to help those dealing with skin diseases and disorders – by helping to demystify aliments of the skin. The CSPA Unmasked project seeks to raise awareness and understanding among all Canadians to the very real pain and alienation experienced by those grappling with skin diseases, especially visible ones, and encourage those Canadians affected by skin disorders (30% of the population) to stop hiding behind a mask, speak out and connect with others like themselves. CPSA Unmasked is the visible call to action to de-stigmatize skin disease in Canada.

Run by the CSPA, this initiative currently has one primary component: a design competition wherein creative Canadians have the opportunity to design a mask in a medium of their choice for a chance to win $500 and a have their mask featured on the CSPA’s website and back cover of the CSPA’s inaugural magazine in 2010. Join the voice of Canada’s skin patient community and make it stronger!
