Acne
Acne is a very common skin disorder and the one most often seen by doctors in skin patients. The initial cause of acne is blocked pores, which lead to the most common symptom of acne: pimples (pustules). Acne affects almost everyone at one time or another, though teenagers are the ones most often associated with it.
There is a wide range of treatments for acne. Clear skin is possible, but first you need to understand your options. If over-the-counter treatments do not prove helpful, consult your doctor to find what works best for you. Severe acne will likely require the care of a dermatologist. Starting treatment as early as possible, whether your acne is mild, moderate or severe, leads to the best results.
