Burns

The skin is the body’s outer covering and also its biggest organ. It protects us from heat, light, injury and infection, and also regulates the body’s internal temperature.

When a burn injury occurs, the skin is damaged and may require medical treatment to heal. The treatment very much depends on the depth, size and location on the body of the burn. Burn depth is generally categorized as first, second or third degree.
